The Main Arena at Ballinlough Castle
The Main Arena programme at the Ballinlough Castle Country Fair is simply unrivalled in Ireland.  We have brought together for the entertainment of our visitors, the top acts and displays from around the country, offering family entertainment at its very best. This year's programme includes:

Mark Wylie's Drakes of Hazard
Back to the Ballinlough castle Country fair by popular demand, the Drakes of Hazard feature Indian runner ducks being herded by working sheepdogs.  All the way from Loch Lomond in Scotland, working shepherd, Mark Wylie's commentary as his ducks go through their paces is humorous in the extreme!
The Medieval Legends
One of Europe's top teams of stuntmen will perform a breathtaking display twice each day in the main arena at Ballinlough Castle. Seen nowhere else in Ireland this year, this is a show not to be missed!

Gundog Handling Demonstrations
Irish International Gundog Team Captains, Ronnie Farrelly & Tim Crothers will demonstrate the skills needed by gundog trainers to bring their dogs to international standard. Their thirty-minute display runs each afternoon in the main arena and is repeated in Arena 2
Irish Hunts
Local hunts will parade each day for us in the Main Arena, accompanied by the Master of the Hunt and his whippers-in.  Children will have the opportunity of going into the main arena to meet the hounds. There are photographic opportunities here for parents.  The hunts will display again in arena 2 at the Country Fair
Parade of Working Gundogs
New to the Ballinlough Castle Country Fair see the working gundogs of Ireland and farther afield on Sunday afternoon as they parade for us in the main arena.  Kieran Fox will demonstrate working German Pointers immediately after the Parade of Gundog
Carriage Driving
From jaunting cars to traps, wedding carriages to working carts we have them all in the main arena each day.  David Staunton will have his magnificent carriages at the fair to view and to ride in.
Birds of Prey with Phoenix Falconry
Children will be enthralled by the free flying birds of prey each day in the main arena at Ballinlough Castle. Family orientated and child friendly this is another display not to be missed.
